Major League Hacking 2017 Hackathon Season

Any student in any major at any university. We encourage anybody with a passion or care about Mental Health and well being to come out and contribute to the community.


Mental Hacks is an event run by Guelph Hacks for students of any University with the goal of groups creating well thought out ideas to support positive mental health.


The event will be help in the Science Complex Atrium at the University of Guelph.


This even will take place on the weekend of March 11th and 12th.

March 11th

  • 8:00-9:00am Registration and Breakfast starts
  • 9:00-10:00 Opening remarks/keynote
  • 10:00am Hacking begins

March 12th

  • 11:30am Hacking ends
  • 11:30-12:30 Lunch
  • 12:30-3:30 Team Pitches
  • 3:30-5:00 Judge Deliberations
  • 5:00pm Awards announced



Team size

Teams will be made up of 2 to 4 people, no exceptions.

Team composition

For the sake of this hackathon, it will be required to have a minimum of two. colleges represented by the group of students.
NOTE: One must be able to code.


Any student, any degree.
No collaboration between teams.
No previously written code.
The outcome must be more than just an idea (ie. something functional to represent it).

Grad Students

Max 2 per team, cannot be only grad students.
Grad students on the same team must be from different colleges (CS and Eng are the same college...).
